Peter first came to Amani in 2002 when he was rescued from the streets of Moshi. In his three years at Amani, Peter finished his primary education and was then reunified with his grandmother. But Peter’s story doesn’t end there! In 2011, Peter graduated from secondary education and decided to go to university. Amani continued to support Peter in achieving his dream.
Here is Peter in his own words:
“Dear Amani Family. It is my pleasure to say thank you for what the organization has done for me. I finished my Bachelor’s degree from University of Dodoma in this year 2015 where I studied in Cultural Heritage and Tourism. To some extent my dreams come true since it is what I dared for so long since I was a young boy.
I fled to town in the 2002 as a Street Child, and Amani rescued me from that harsh situation of street life, returning me to school again. I really appreciate your efforts to me since that time to now, because they made my dreams come true. I lack good words for saying thank you. I do appreciate the donors, staff workers and all Amani family for engulfing me in all ways and supporting me in all I need.
Thank you and be blessed.”
