About Amani
Amani Centre for Street Children is a leading Tanzanian charity with over 20 years of existence rescuing street‐connected children, offering them safe shelter, education, health and holistic family reintegration. Each year we support more than 250 children off the streets, provide continued education for over 350, and maintain ongoing support to both children and their families. Amanikids Our approach is rooted in care, love, safety, and opportunity for every child. We are looking for two dynamic, mission-driven professionals to join our growing team:
POSITION 1: RESOURCE MOBILIZATION MANAGER – Remote (International applicants welcome)
Reports to: Executive Director
Location: Fully remote (flexible, work across time zones)
Role Purpose
To design, lead and scale Amani’s global fundraising and resource mobilization efforts. Your work will ensure stable, diversified funding so that Amani can continue and expand its rescue, rehabilitation, education, and family reintegration programs. You will be one of the central forces securing Amani’s financial sustainability and enabling our long-term impact.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategy & Planning
· Develop a robust resource mobilization strategy aligned with Amani’s mission, values, and thematic areas (child rescue, education, health, reintegration).
· Identify growth opportunities in international funding, including institutional donors, foundations, corporate partners, and major individual donors.
· Plan multi‐year fundraising targets and monitor performance against them.
2. Grant Writing & Proposal Management
· Lead the preparation of high quality, competitive funding proposals and concept notes.
· Work closely with Program, Finance, Monitoring & Evaluation, and Leadership teams to gather necessary data, inputs and evidence.
· Ensure that proposals are compliant with donor requirements, including reporting, budgeting, and impact/monitoring frameworks.
3. Donor Relationship Management
· Build and nurture relationships with existing and potential donors, partners, and networks globally.
· Steward donor relationships through regular updates, impact stories, and transparent reporting.
· Represent Amani in grant meetings, donor conferences, webinars, and other relevant forums.
4. Monitoring, Learning & Improvement
· Maintain a clear donor and funding pipeline tracking system.
· Analyze past successes and failures (e.g. proposal outcomes) to continuously strengthen fundraising strategies.
· Keep up to date with global trends in philanthropy, CSR, child welfare funding, and propose new donor sources or types.
Qualifications & Skills
· Minimum 5 years’ experience in international fundraising, resource mobilization, or grants management.
· emonstrable record of success securing significant grants/funding from international donors or agencies.
· Excellent proposal writing skills: strong in narrative, budgeting, technical clarity.
· Strong analytical, planning, organizational and networking skills.
· Ability to work independently, across remote settings, and manage time effectively.
· Bachelor’s degree in Development Studies, International Relations, Non-Profit Management, or related field. Master’s or additional qualifications a plus.
